Meet the Operational Team
Paul Bartholomew – Project Manager
Paul Bartholomew works within Birmingham City University’s Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) as Head of Curriculum Design and Academic Portfolio Development. He is also the Lead Academic Consultant to the Redesign of the Learning Experience (RoLEx) project, an institutional initiative to rejuvenate the University’s portfolio to reflect better the University Mission and the goals of the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy.
Paul previously worked as a Senior Academic for Learning and Teaching in the University’s Faculty of Health where he was heavily involved in the development and operation of the University’s Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) as well as acting as Faculty Academic Lead for Moodle – the University’s Virtual Learning Environment.
Paul was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship in 2004 for his teaching in the field of Diagnostic Radiography. Paul is a member of JISC’s Learning and Teaching Experts Group and previously served Consultant for e-Learning for the HEA Health Sciences and Practice Subject Centre.

Oliver Jenkins – Project Officer
Oliver Jenkins commenced his current role as Project Support Officer for the T-SPARC project in CELT in March 2010. His main role is currently working as the project business analyst, working closely with members of CICT and external software developers to design and produce automated MS SharePoint workflows that will augment the course design and approval (and re-approval) processes.
Oliver also works for the Business Process Review group at Birmingham City University, process mapping the student induction processes, and runs a Student Academic Partners scheme collaborating with BCU media students carrying out research from a student perspective.
Oliver is currently studying his PGCert (Education) and will be teaching students taking part in the SAPs scheme about different types of project management methodologies that are available for them to implement.
Oliver graduated from University College Birmingham as a mature student with a BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise & Entrepreneurial Studies in September 2008. He worked previously as an Assistant Manager of a national distribution company for several years.
