PGRNet Impact Workshop: 16 July

Achieving Research Impact

With Professor Erika Rackley, University of Birmingham

16 July 2015, 4pm-5.30pm, PGR Hub, 3rd floor Baker Building, City North Campus

Research Impact is becoming increasingly important not just for researchers, but for PGRs too. According to the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), research impact is “an effect on, change or benefit to the economy, society, culture, public policy or services, health, the environment or quality of life, beyond academia.”

Over the summer PGRNet is hosting a series of workshops to help you get to grips with impact and how you can start thinking about it for your own research. Knowing about impact is crucial for your future employability and attending this workshop will give you a great introduction to research impact. We are delighted to welcome Erika Rackley, Professor of Law from the University of Birmingham.

This workshop is free to attend and refreshments will be provided. To sign up, please visit the Eventbrite page.
