Birmingham City University developed Innovate for Advantage (i4a) programme to support our business facing community. Each Innovate for Advantage is customised to meet the needs of the client organisation.
In most Innovate for Advantage projects the university recruits a recent graduate or Post-graduate to work with a client at their premises, supported by academic expertise from the University 0.5 days per week for the duration of the project.
The Innovate for Advantage programmes do not have government grant funding, the company pays the full cost of an Innovate for Advantage. The time-frame of each programme can vary in length; from 6 months to up-to 3 years (depending on the nature of the project and support required). The Innovate for Advantage Graduate (known as the Associate) is employed by the University on a fixed term contract, but works to the full terms and conditions of the partnering client, or alternatively the Innovate for Advantage Associate can be an employee from the company.
We will be happy to meet with you at your earliest convenience to discuss a bespoke project that will add value to your business.
