Logging back into Digimap services and new look Digimap home page

Please note that there is a new look page for Digimap services  – and you also have to accept the terms of Digimap services  when you log back in  – they say below:

“We are now at the start of a new academic year and Digimap has new licence agreements in place for the Ordnance Survey, Geology and Historic Map and Data Collections. You may have noticed already that you have been asked to agree to the licence again when you logged in.  This is because some of the terms are different and you are required to agree to these new terms prior to accessing the data within the service.

When you login you will notice the Licence Agreements button at the top right of the home page.

Licence Agreement Button

Clicking on this will allow to you to view the licences you have agreed to and to agree to those you have not yet agreed to, then you can carry on using as before.

Trial of DETAIL inspiration until 17 June 2016

We have set up a trial to DETAIL inspiration – an architectural image database  – you can look at it on-campus here http://www.detail-online.com/inspiration.DETAILinspiration

“DETAIL inspiration, the database for architects is a new image and reference database with more than 2,400 projects from the last 30 years of DETAIL. The integrated search function, with numerous filters, allows your students and teaching staff to find precisely the right information. Each project described in the database is accompanied by DETAIL project documents, which can be downloaded as PDFs”

Please send any comments on this trial to Hugh Morgan,  Assistant Liaison Librarian – Collections Management.

Digital theatre content – change of provider

We have decided after some discussion that we will not be renewing our agreement with Digital Theatre Plus – which had expired 30/04/2016. Links to this content have now been removed from our pages.

We are currently in discussion with another provider of multimedia theatre content concerning a new subscription for the University and hope to bring you news of this very soon.
