During the summer Askew & Holts will be introducing a new online eBook reader for their VLeBooks platform. If you have used this platform to add eBooks to bookshelves or made notes within an eBook, unfortunately this information will not be migrated over to their new online reader.
However, if you want to preserve the contents of your bookshelves and notes you have up until 12th July 2019 to do so. Please continue reading for advice on your next steps…
To check whether you have created any bookshelves or made notes visit VLeBooks.
How do I access bookshelves?
From the VLeBooks homepage, locate the My Bookshelves box and click on the drop-down arrow to expand. If you have added any bookshelves they will be listed here. Click on a bookshelf title to open and view the list of eBooks added to the bookshelf. You can either make a written record or take a screenshot to record the contents.
How do I access notes?
To check if you have made notes, click on an eBook’s cover image or title from either a bookshelf or your list of last read items displayed on the VLeBooks homepage. Click on the Read Online option to open the eBook in the online reader.
On the side panel click on the Notes tab for a list of any notes you have made. If the tab is empty you will not need to export any notes for this eBook.
How do I export notes?
If you want to export notes for an eBook click on the Notes button located on the top panel of the online reader. Click on the Export option followed by Export Notes in the pop-up box which appears. Your notes for the eBook should automatically download as a Word or Text document which you can save.
