HETEROPHOBIA

HETEROPHOBIA

This story has been told at The REP, mac Birmingham and the Drill Hall in 2010. Hannah Phillips is now collaborating with a new company to develop the piece into an Urban Musical.

Heterophobia is an ‘Urban Musical’ for young people, lead, facilitated and directed by Hannah Phillips and will be the first piece of work produced by Outspoken, the Applied Performance graduate company of Birmingham School of Acting. Heterophobia is a hybrid fusion of art forms, which tells the story of a young heterosexual male trying to ‘come out’ in a homosexual world, an educational piece surrounding issues of sexuality, identity, prejudice and acceptance.
